Self-Sufficiency Standard Publications
The Self-Sufficiency Standard measures how much income a family of a certain
composition in a given place needs to adequately meet their basic needs -
without public or private assistance. Authored by Dr. Diana Pearce, The
Self-Sufficiency Standard was supported by United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta,
Women's Policy Group, Voices for Georgia's Children, Georgia Family Connection
Partnership, Georgia State Trade Association of Nonprofit Developers, and
Georgia Budget and Policy Institute.
